A Holy Week Reflection
As I contemplate the events of Holy Thursday and Good Friday, I'm struck by the profound contrast between devotion and betrayal. Judas' betrayal, Peter's denial, and the disciples' flight are mirrored in our own lives, albeit in subtler ways. We've betrayed Him through sin, denied Him through silence, and run away from those in need.
Holy Week invites us to confront difficult questions: Would we have joined the crowd demanding crucifixion or stood courageously at the foot of the Cross? Reflecting on times I've prioritized convenience over conviction, pride over love, and silence over truth, I see myself in that crowd. This realization is heartbreaking, yet it holds hope.
Jesus bore our sins on the Cross, and through His sacrifice, we can rise again. This Holy Week, let's seek forgiveness for failing to love and choosing self over sacrifice. May we pray for the courage to walk more faithfully, to be more loving, more courageous, and more like Christ.
